The 26-year-old finished third behind Norway's Magnus Carlsen and Russian grandmaster Ian Nepomniachtchi.
More than 300 chess players from various countries competed in the 2024 World Rapid and Blitz Chess Championships, which ended in New York on Tuesday night.
Duda's bronze medal marked his third podium finish at the world blitz chess championships, after a silver in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 2018 and another silver at the 2021 tournament on home soil in Warsaw.
In December 2021, Poland's Duda was crowned the European blitz chess champion, while countryman Maciej Klekowski took the silver at the 2021 European Blitz and Rapid Chess Championships in the southern Polish city of Katowice.
