The Polish team won a total of six medals (one gold, three silver, and two bronze) for our country at the Junior World Cup Speed Skating competition in Collabo, Italy. Earlier, the Polish Speed Skating Association had announced the team's achievement of five medals.
The Polish women’s speed skating team won the gold medal at the Junior World Championships, defeating Canada and South Korea. In the mixed relay competition, the Polish team posted a time of 1:32.33, beating their rivals by 0.34 seconds.
Polish men’s team wins silver at Junior World Championships
The men's sprint team claimed the silver medal, narrowly losing to Sweden in a tight race. The silver medalists were juniors: Szymon Hostyński, Mikołaj Bielas, and Mateusz Śliwka, who were 0.37 seconds behind the Norwegian winners.
The second silver medal went to the junior women in the team pursuit event. The team consisted of Zofia Braun, Hanna Mazur, and Emilia Zawisza. The Dutch team won, finishing 2.73 seconds ahead of the Polish team.
