The 19th Warsaw Half Marathon, the largest in Poland's history in terms of participation, saw nearly 15,000 runners tackle the 21.1-kilometer course, while over 5,000 competed in the 5K race.
The race route remained unchanged from the previous year, guiding runners through the city's iconic streets and landmarks before finishing near the National Stadium.

Bouquantar secured the men’s title in 1:02:24, narrowly defeating his compatriot Mohamed El Ghazouany by four seconds, with Kenya’s Edwin Soi finishing third.
Poland’s Adam Nowicki placed fourth, matching his personal best.

In the women’s race, Ocampo clocked 1:10:48, finishing ahead of Ukraine’s Viktoria Kaliuzhna and Kenya’s Sylvia Mboga Medugu. Poland’s Sabina Jarząbek finished fourth, missing the podium by 27 seconds.

In the 5K race, Mikołaj Czeronek (14:34) and Elżbieta Glinka (16:02) took top honors. Nowicki, who used the race as preparation for the upcoming European Championships, expressed satisfaction with his performance despite a disrupted pacing strategy.
Ocampo, who recently competed in the Osaka Marathon, praised the course and warm reception she received in Poland.

Warsaw race promotes mental health awareness
This year’s event adopted a unique name, breaking with the tradition of numbering races. It will now be called the "116 123 Warsaw Half Marathon," drawing attention to the critical issue of mental health, with the number referencing the emergency hotline for adults in emotional crisis.
