Tennis: Poland's Hurkacz out singles in Dubai, makes doubles quarter-final

Poland's Hubert Hurkacz has crashed out of the singles at the ATP tennis tournament in Dubai after a straight-set defeat to Canada's Denis Shapovalov.

Hurkacz, the no. 13 seed, lost 4-6, 3-6 in the round of 16 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, in the men's doubles in Dubai, Hurkacz has made it into the quarter-finals.

The Pole and his partner, Italy's Jannik Sinner, will take on Croatia's Ivan Dodig and Slovakia's Filip Polášek, who are the fourth seeds, for a place in the semi-finals.
