OFFSIDE Medals for Poles at Tokyo Paralympics

Visually impaired track cyclist Marcin Polak and his sighted pilot Michał Ładosz took the bronze in the men’s 4000 meters tandem pursuit event on Wednesday, winning Poland's first medal at the Games in the Japanese capital, while wheelchair fencer Adrian Castro took the silver in the men's sabre individual event to secure another medal for his country.

Eighty-nine disabled Polish athletes, 56 men and 33 women, are competing in the Paralympic Games, which take place in Tokyo, Japan between 24 August and 5 September 2021.
