The Globe Soccer Awards are granted to the world’s best male and female players as well as best clubs, Poland's PAP news agency reported.
At the awards gala in Dubai on Monday, France’s forward Kylian Mbappe was named male footballer of the year.
Meanwhile, Lewandowski was voted player of the year by users of the TikTok video-sharing, social-networking application, garnering 24 percent of the vote.
The 33-year-old Polish marksman also received the new Maradona Award for best goal scorer. He was rewarded for a bicycle kick in a Champions League match between his Bayern Munich club and Dynamo Kyiv.
Introduced in 2010, the Globe Soccer Awards are granted by the Globe Soccer organisation in cooperation with the European Club Association (ECA) and the European Football Agents Association (EFAA).
Portugal’s Cristiano Ronaldo won the main award on six occasions, with Lewandowski triumphing last year.
