The 25-year-old Pole, coached by American Craig Boynton, on Sunday won the Halle Open grass-court tournament in Germany.
Hurkacz took down Russian world No. 1 Daniil Medvedev 6-1, 6-4 in the final to claim his fifth ATP singles title and his first on grass.
Meanwhile, Kamil Majchrzak, a Polish 26-year-old, has dropped six spots to No. 91 in the latest rankings released on Monday by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).
Medvedev remains No. 1 in the ATP ranking, followed by Germany's Alexander Zverev and Serbia’s Novak Djokovic.
