An annual race through the Polish capital, it has been held since 1979, and is the oldest yearly marathon in Poland.
The Warsaw Marathon is organised by the Warsaw Marathon Foundation, a non-governmental organisation.
This year’s participants include the blogger and running coach Kasia Gorlo-Olszewska.
"I started running a few years ago to feel better with myself and with my body. Running gives us a lot of fun and endorphins. A few minutes running and you feel better for a whole day," Gorlo-Olszewska told Radio Poland’s Danuta Isler, explaining why it is a sport for everyone.
