The Polish team, managed by Italian coach Stefano Lavarini, claimed their sixth victory at the championships, which Poland is hosting together with the Netherlands.
The Poles, who are back on the world stage after an absence of 12 years, will face defending champions Serbia for a place in the last four in the southern Polish city of Gliwice on Tuesday.
The 2022 Volleyball Women’s World Championships, contested by 24 teams, are being held in Poland and the Netherlands by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), the world governing body for the sport.
The tournament runs until October 15.
