Football: Poland's Lewandowski scores 15th La Liga goal

Poland international Robert Lewandowski scored his 15th La Liga goal as his Barcelona side beat Cadiz 2-0 in the Spanish top flight on Sunday.

The Polish goal machine scored Barcelona's second goal in stoppage time to consolidate the team's eight-point lead over Real Madrid at the top of the league standings.

The 34-year-old also added to Sergi Roberto's opener, strongly contributing to Barcelona's seventh consecutive league victory and helping put the side a step nearer the title, news outlets reported.

The 34-year-old in October won the 2022 Gerd Müller Trophy for the best striker of last season at the France Football Ballon d'Or awards in Paris.
