The 30-year-old Pole, who is ranked world No. 19 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), defeated the 54th-ranked Czech player 7-6, 6-1 in their second-round clash in the Italian capital on Thursday.
Up next for Linette at the clay-court tournament in Rome is either Brazilian Beatriz Haddad Maia or Romanian Elena-Gabriela Ruse.
Meanwhile, Poland’s world No. 1 Iga Świątek is due to play Russia's Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the second round on Friday.
Świątek won last year's Italian Open. She also triumphed in Rome in 2021.
