Swimming: One medal for Poland in Japan

Polish swimmers have won one medal, a silver, at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships, which ended in Fukuoka, Japan on Sunday.

Poland’s Kacper Stokowski claimed the silver in the men’s 200 metres backstroke after he finished second behind France's Léon Marchand, with a personal best of 1:53.62 on July 26.

On the last day of competition in Fukuoka, Poland's Ksawery Masiuk narrowly missed out on a medal in the men’s 50m backstroke after he finished fourth, with a time of 24.57.

The swimming events at the 2023 World Aquatics Championships were held in Fukuoka from July 23 to 30.

Team Poland won two medals, a silver and a bronze, at last year's World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
