This will be the 43-year-old’s first match as a referee at the European championships in Germany, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Marciniak will be assisted by Polish linesmen Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik at RheinEnergie Stadium in Cologne on Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Poland’s Tomasz Kwiatkowski will be a video assistant referee for the Belgium vs. Romania match, which kicks off at 9 p.m. (CEST), public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
Nineteen referees from various countries have been selected to officiate during the Euro 2024 tournament, which opened last Friday.
Marciniak refereed matches during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the 2018 World Cup in Russia and Euro 2018.
Teams from 24 nations are scheduled to play a total of 51 matches in 10 cities in Germany before the Euro 2024 tournament wraps up on July 14.
The Polish team lost 1-2 to the Netherlands in its first group-stage game in Hamburg on June 16.
The Poles will next take on Austria in Berlin on Friday, June 21, and then play France in Dortmund on Tuesday, June 21.
