For more than 40 years, the last weekend of September has transformed into a true running festival in the capital of Poland.

Runners from around the world come to the city for the Warsaw Marathon, one of the few marathons that has been held continuously since 1979!

This year's 46th edition coincides with the centennial celebration of the first marathon ever held in Poland.

Danuta Isler spoke with the CEO of the Marathon, Marek Tronina, to learn more about the celebration of the marathon tradition that began in Poland exactly one hundred years ago, and much more.
