December 20th is Poland's 'Fish Day' - a unique ecological holiday, established in 2003 to emphasise the rights of these animals.

On the date - street actions, silent marches, and happenings are organized across the country to promote the humane treatment of fish, including the ones destined for our plates - and educate society about the proper treatment of gill-bearing animals.
