After 12 days of trekking, on Friday, October 25, the determined athlete reached the final point of his route at the Polish-German border near Świnoujście by the Baltic Sea.

The goal of his expedition, dubbed #walk4dog, was to raise funds for the Foundation Under a Dog Star, which cares for animals from a shelter that suffered during the September floods in southwestern Poland.

Along the way, his specially designed cart, which served as both a bed and a means of transport, required repairs twice, but fortunately, everything was resolved thanks to the support of generous people.

Here’s how the athlete described the end of the route, about 50 km before completing his march.

Since the journey began on October 13 in Piaski on the Vistula Spit in northeastern Poland, Michał has managed to collect nearly 6,000 PLN (about 1,400 EUR) in a specially organized fundraising campaign, and donations can still be made through ratujemyzwierzaki.pl/rundog.

A special welcome for the superhero, who aimed to support four-legged friends with his noble cause, was prepared at the nearby ferry crossing at the mouth of the river flowing into the Baltic Sea.
