Last week, Hurkacz delivered a strong performance at the ATP 500 indoor tournament in Rotterdam, reaching the semifinals. This result earned him 100 ranking points, moving him up from 21st to 20th place.
In the semifinals, he lost to Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, who went on to win the tournament. Alcaraz's victory brought him closer to second-ranked Alexander Zverev, though he still trails by 625 points.
Meanwhile, Australian Alex de Minaur, the Rotterdam finalist, achieved a career-high ranking of sixth.
Italy’s Jannik Sinner remains the world No. 1 with a significant lead over Germany’s Zverev and Spain’s Alcaraz.
