This initiative not only seeks to uplift those affected by the floods but also to mobilize Poles to help those impacted by the disaster. The music video was first presented to viewers during the “19:30” news program on TVP1.
The clip was produced in the Agnieszka Osiecka Music Studio in Warsaw, with Armin Kurasz as the director and Jan Kidawa-Błoński as the editor. All participants in the project volunteered their time and worked pro bono.
Patrycja Markowska expressed her emotion and hope that the new version of the song would bring assistance to those in need. Kamil Bednarek shared his personal commitment to helping flood victims, mentioning his work on strengthening flood defenses.
The original version of “Moja i twoja nadzieja” (My Hope and Your Hope) dates back to 1993, while the subsequent version released in 1997 became an anthem for flood victims. In 1997, the song featured stars such as Edyta Bartosiewicz, Natalia Kukulska, and Cesław Niemen.
Flood in Poland: update
On Friday morning, a flood wave is expected to reach Kostrzyn on the Odra River, but the situation remains calm in the Lubusz Voivodeship, where the city is well-secured due to built-up fortifications.
Water levels exceed alert thresholds at 18 measurement stations, they are beginning to decrease in many areas.
During the Friday session of the Sejm, lawmakers observed a moment of silence for the victims of the floods in Poland.
