The musicians will celebrate the upcoming Polish National Independence Day, which is observed on November 11th.

“The sounds of Leszek Możdżer’s piano will blend with Zohar Fresco's vibrant percussion in an extraordinary musical fusion,” promises the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, a Polish government agency promoting Polish culture abroad, which is co-sponsoring the event.

The concert is held under the patronage of the Polish Embassy in Lisbon.

“Let the sounds of music from two different cultures resonate in honor of this Polish holiday,” encourage the organizers.

A unique fusion of Polish and Eastern musical traditions

The work of Leszek Możdżer, one of the most renowned contemporary Polish pianists, is characterized by an innovative approach to sound and experimental use of different piano tunings, resulting in a unique sound and rich musical textures.

In contrast, Zohar Fresco brings extraordinary precision, charisma, and influences from Eastern percussion art to this duo, which, when combined with Możdżer’s classical improvisation, creates an electrifying and mystical fusion of two distinct cultures.
