The event marks 50 years since Anderszewska began her musical education in the city, where she was born in 1967 to a Polish father and a Hungarian mother.

To celebrate the milestone, Anderszewska has invited a host of prominent classical musicians, including her brother, the renowned pianist Piotr Anderszewski.

Joining them will be Andrzej Bauer and Tatiana Przybylska-Karaszewska (cello), Katarzyna Budnik and Aleksandra Stadniczenko (viola), Dominik Karaszewski and Kamil Karaszewski (French horn), and Natalia Karaszewska (flute).

The programme of the concert includes works by Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Ravel, Messiaen and Bartók.

After completing her studies in Poland, Anderszewska continued her education in France and further honed her craft at the Juilliard School of Music in New York.

She is a prizewinner of numerous international competitions and has given recitals in prestigious venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall and London's Wigmore Hall.

An accomplished chamber musician, Anderszewska frequently performs with her brother Piotr.

She is currently the leader of the Orchestre National de Montpellier in France.
