The awards ceremony took place at the Mediateka Concert Hall in the southern city of Tychy on Thursday night, Polish state news agency PAP reported.
Krystian Zimerman scooped up two statuettes, for Best Recording of Polish Music and for Best Polish Album Abroad, according to officials.
The celebrated pianist was honoured for his latest album Karol Szymanowski: Piano Works, which features performances of music by Polish composer Karol Szymanowski, the PAP news agency reported.

2023 Fryderyk Awards for classical music
The 2023 Fryderyk Awards for classical music were granted in a total of 11 categories, from Best Solo Recital to Best Album of Orchestral Music, according to organisers.
The award for Best Album of Concert Music went to Jacek Kortus, Bartosz Koziak and the Poznań Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Łukasz Borowicz, for Felix Nowowiejski. Piano Concerto, Cello Concerto.
Meanwhile, the 2023 Fryderyk Award for Best Album of Early Music was granted jointly to the Wrocław Baroque Ensemble conducted by Andrzej Kosendiak, for Vesperae in Visitatione Beatae Mariae Virginis, which features pieces by Marcin Józef Żebrowski, and to the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic Choir conducted by Violetta Bielecka, for Supraśl Canticles.
The statuette for Best Album of Chamber Music by Bigger Ensembles went to The Silesian String Quartet for Mieczysław Wajnberg [Weinberg]. String Quartets Nos. 5 & 6.
Thursday’s awards gala included a concert by diverse ensembles and soloists, including a joint performance of Henryk Wieniawski’s music by classical violinist Agata Szymczewska and the jazz-oriented Adam Bałdych Quintet, according to organisers.
The Fryderyk Awards, dubbed the Polish Grammy Awards, have been granted since 1995 to honour the nation’s best pop, jazz and classical music, the PAP news agency reported.
