The event was held at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw on Monday. In her acceptance speech, Santor expressed gratitude to Polish Radio, reflecting on its significant role in her transition from folk to mainstream music. "After Mazowsze, the radio station embraced me, providing an avenue to record and grow. I deeply thank them," she remarked.
Other awardees included:
- Martyna Pastuszka, titled Personality of the Year. Recognized for her remarkable performances across renowned European early music festivals, she's the driving force behind the oh! Orchestra, which is hailed as a leading early music ensemble both domestically and internationally.
- 16th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań took the Event of the Year award, celebrating its position as one of the world's oldest and most prestigious musical competitions, boasting over two hundred participants from thirty nations. Karolina Kazmierczak, the competition's director, expressed her gratitude and future aspirations: "I view this award as motivation to bring even more memorable experiences in the upcoming editions."
- Chosen by the public through an open online vote, Wojciech Niedziółka was lauded as the Discovery of the Year, commended for his outstanding performance at the Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition and his burgeoning international career.
The Koryfeusz Muzyki Polskiej Awards have been annually bestowing recognition to the Polish music community's luminaries since 2011, with Polish Radio as its media patron.
