The semifinalists have been selected from among 159 applicants from 40 countries.
Wojdalska, 25, is the only violist among the contestants.
She received her early musical training in Warsaw. She then studied at the Royal College of Music in London and in Zurich, Switzerland.
A prizewinner of many music competitions in Poland and abroad, Wojdalska has performed at prestigious international venues such as Musikverein in Vienna, Wigmore Hall in London and Tonhalle in Zurich.
The WFISC semifinals, to be held in Windsor from March 9 to 16, will comprise live rounds in front of an international jury and public audiences. Three musicians will be selected to perform in the competition finals, which will take place on March 15.
Competition prizes are valued at over £30,000 and include recording and recital opportunities, as well as numerous concerto performances, including with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
The Windsor Festival International String Competition was launched in 2008 in memory of the legendary violinist and conductor Yehudi Menuhin.
