In Poland, the 32nd edition of this event is held under the theme "Trails. Networks. Connections."

The European Heritage Days is a major cultural, social, and educational initiative, coordinated in Poland by the National Heritage Institute. The event allows residents across Europe to explore monuments and heritage sites in their local areas, participate in workshops, attend exhibitions, and join cultural tours and performances.

Approximately 500 organizations, including cultural and educational institutions, associations, heritage enthusiasts, and private owners of historic properties, are participating in this year’s European Heritage Days in Poland.

The event promises a wide array of activities, from interactive workshops and educational meetings to exhibitions, concerts, and theatrical performances, all designed to deepen the public’s understanding of local, regional, and national history and culture.

This year's theme, "Trails. Networks. Connections." aligns with the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe project, which began in 1987 to promote cultural cooperation through tourism. Poland, which joined the project in 2017, is currently intersected by 17 of the 47 cultural routes recognized by the Council of Europe.

The National Heritage Institute, the event’s national coordinator since 2007, continues its work in preserving and promoting Poland's cultural heritage. The institute also manages the zabytek.pl portal, providing extensive resources such as monument descriptions, documentation, 3D models, and archival images.
