Tickets for the Chopin Competition this Tuesday!
The National Chopin Institute, the main organizer of the competition, has announced that tickets for all the auditions will be available online at ebilet.pl, starting at 12.00 noon CET on October 1. As a special gesture to Warsaw residents, one fourth of the tickets will be set aside for sale at the Chopin Museum in the capital.
Four years ago, all the tickets for the previous Chopin Competition were sold out within three hours.
Established in 1927, the International Chopin Piano Competition is among the world’s oldest and most prestigious events of its kind. Next year’s competition will be its 19th edition. Prizewinners’ names will be announced on October 20, 2025, followed by three concerts featuring the event’s laureates on October 21, 22 and 23.
Past winners of the Warsaw Chopin Competition include such world-famous pianists as Maurizio Pollini, Martha Argerich, Garrick Ohlsson, Krystian Zimerman, Rafał Blechacz, Seong-Jin Cho and Bruce Liu (below being awarded by Polish President Andrzej Duda).
