The multiple Grammy-winner will perform in the historic city of Kraków on October 20 and in the southern industrial city of Gliwice the following day.

Initially, only a single show in Kraków was planned, but high demand prompted organisers to add a second concert at PreZero Arena in Gliwice.

Tickets for the Gliwice concert go on sale at noon on Friday, December 13.

The gigs are part of the musician's "Sting 3.0" World Tour, launched in Europe earlier this year and currently continuing with its North American leg.

Sting will be joined on stage by virtuoso guitarist and longtime collaborator Dominic Miller, as well as drummer Chris Maas.

Sting, who was the principal songwriter, lead singer and bassist for The Police from 1977 to 1984, began his solo career in 1985.

His first visit to Poland was in 1996, followed by more than a dozen sold-out tours across the country in the years since.
