The special event, attended by the Presidents of the French and Polish Senates, Gérard Larcher and Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, took place on Tuesday evening at one of Paris' most iconic landmarks - the Les Invalides, home to the Dôme des Invalides and the tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte.
The atmospheric interior of this remarkable French monument filled with the sounds of beautiful Polish melodies, carols, and popular songs from both the Vistula and Seine regions.

“Bonaparte set an example for us,” said Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, the Speaker of the Polish Senate, referring to the words of the Polish national anthem. “These words are particularly relevant today, as Europe's most important task is ensuring our security.”
2025 is Poland's moment in Europe, says French Senate President
Gérard Larcher, the President of the French Senate, described 2025 as “Poland’s moment in Europe.” He stated that Poland “is an opportunity for Europe,” with Poles always standing guard over European security, raising alarms about the threat from Russia.
“You’ve opened our eyes,” Larcher acknowledged, expressing hope that the work on a new French-Polish cooperation treaty, which is to be signed later this year in Nancy, would be completed soon.
