Topics up for discussion at the 11th European Financial Congress in the northern Polish city include economic recovery post-COVID-19, digital transformation in banking and financial services, and investment in innovative and environmentally friendly projects.

Conference debates are also expected to focus on issues such as financial market growth, new technology, and challenges facing banking and financial institutions as the world emerges from the coronavirus crisis.

Expected guests include Israeli-born political economist Dan Breznitz, a professor at the University of Toronto and author of Innovation in Real Places: Strategies for Prosperity in an Unforgiving World, a critically acclaimed book that seeks to debunk myths about innovation, growth and prosperity.

As in previous years, conference participants are expected to work out a set of recommendations for financial and economic policy makers.

The event runs until Wednesday.
