Polish industrial production up 16.7% y/y in December: stats office

Industrial production in Poland rose 16.7 percent in December compared with the same month a year earlier, the country’s Central Statistical Office (GUS) reported on Friday.

The reading was markedly higher than forecast by analysts, who had expected an increase of 13 percent, Poland’s PAP news agency reported.

In month-on-month terms, Polish industrial production in December was 2.9 percent lower than in November, the Central Statistical Office said.

In December 2021, sold #production of #industry in #Poland increased by 16.7% as compared to December 2020. Compared to November 2021 decreased by 2.9%.

According to the European Union’s Eurostat statistics agency, which uses a different methodology, industrial production in Poland rose 15.3 percent in November, the second-fastest rate of growth in the 27-nation bloc.
