Dozens of leading players, both men and women, from various countries are expected to compete in the Polish city in two separate tournaments, collectively known as the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championships Division I Group B.
The women's tournament kicked off on April 8 and runs until Thursday at Katowice's Jantor Ice Rink, while the men's event is scheduled to be held at the city's landmark Spodek Arena from April 25 to May 1, according to the Polish Ice Hockey Federation (PZHL).
