Men's ice hockey teams battle for world honours in Poland

Men's ice hockey teams from five countries have begun battling it out for international honours in the Polish city of Tychy.

Leading players from Poland, Ukraine, Estonia, Serbia and Japan are taking part in the 2022 Ice Hockey World Championships Division I Group B hosted by the southern Polish city.

The event is being held at the city's Winter Stadium until May 1, according to the Polish Ice Hockey Federation (PZHL).

On Tuesday, Poland defeated Estonia 3-0, with goals from Kamil Wałęga, Paweł Zygmunt and Filip Komorski, while Japan beat Serbia 8-0.

On Wednesday, Ukraine will play Serbia. On Thursday, Poland will face off against Ukraine, while Japan will play Estonia.
