This year sees the 76th anniversary of the bloody wartime revolt, which ended in the annihilation of the Polish capital.
While the day is usually observed with massive gatherings, most of this year's events on August 1 will not be open to the public due to restrictions on the number of people allowed at concerts and museums.
Many events commemorating the 1944 Warsaw Uprising will instead be held online.
