Poland celebrates Labor Day. However, May 1 carries another meaning as well, as on that day in 2004 Poland joined the European Union alongside nine other countries. The 20 years since joining the EU have proven to be decades of incredible growth for Poland, the country’s former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski told Radio Poland.
