Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 124,710: report

Around 124,710 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 3,182 tanks, 6,340 armoured personnel vehicles and 2,180 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 850 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 452 multiple launch rocket systems, 221 air defence systems, 292 warplanes, 283 helicopters, 18 warships, and 1,941 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Friday is day 338 of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
