According to the Ukrainian General Staff's report, Ukrainian forces engaged in counteroffensive operations in the Berdyansk (Zaporizhia-Donetsk Oblast area) and Melitopol directions (western Zaporizhia Oblast).

A report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on July 23 said: "Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched 12 strikes on enemy personnel, weapons, and military equipment clusters. Also, our defenders destroyed four operational-tactical reconnaissance UAVs. Missile and artillery units hit 21 artillery pieces on firing positions, an anti-aircraft missile system, and another important enemy target."

Tempo of counteroffensive may soon increase

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told the Aspen Security Forum on Friday there is a possibility of intensifying the tempo of Ukrainian counteroffensive operations in the near future.

He explained that the delay in these operations was partly attributed to the limited availability of military resources, including mine-clearing equipment.

The tempo of counteroffensive operations is likely to increase soon as a result of the ongoing mine-clearing efforts, Zelensky said.
