The recruitment, overseen by the Ukrainian consulate in Poland's eastern city of Lublin, began on October 1.
Ukrainian volunteers who wish to fight in the war against Russia can apply at the consulate to be trained by the Polish army.
The recruitment process at the newly established recruitment center in Lublin is the first of its kind in Europe.
Its establishment was announced in July by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
"The fact that it started operations on October 1 is symbolic because on that day we celebrate our Defenders' Day," Oleh Kuts, the Ukrainian consul general in Lublin, told Radio Poland's Danuta Isler.
"We are very positive about its outcome because we see that within just a few days we received more than 200 applications," he said.
Kuts added that the Lublin center is the beginning of a broader recruitment effort.
