Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 724,050: report

Around 724,050 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country 1,000 days ago, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 9,382 tanks, 19,092 armoured fighting vehicles and 20,632 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Tuesday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Monday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,610 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,252 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), 999 air defence systems, 369 warplanes, 329 helicopters, 28 warships, and 19,111 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Tuesday is day 1,000 of Russias war on Ukraine.
