Attacks were also reported on Russian energy infrastructure and military bases in the Kursk, Rostov, and Bryansk regions, as well as in Krasnodar Krai.

Russian media outlets reported few details on the refinery blaze. Local administration officials in Oryol Oblast confirmed it was brought under control, while independent outlets noted that Ukraine has escalated its drone offensive against Russian cities over the past two days.

Recent attacks have damaged buildings in Rylsk and Kazan. In Kazan, the capital of Tatarstan, glass high-rises and several residential blocks were hit. One drone reportedly detonated at an industrial facility; there was no information on casualties.

Russia, Ukraine exchange drone strikes

Meanwhile, Moscow launched its own drone strikes on Ukraine overnight, officials in Kyiv said. In Brovary, a town east of the capital, debris from intercepted drones set the roof of a residential building on fire. No injuries were reported.

Earlier, from Friday into Saturday, Ukrainian forces claimed to have downed Russian drones in 11 regions, including Kyiv Oblast. The fate of additional drones that vanished from radar remains unclear, with officials suggesting they may have crashed. In the Zaporizhzhia and Kharkiv regions, drone debris damaged both multi-story buildings and single-family homes. In Kharkiv Oblast, a 69-year-old man died from multiple injuries, and four people—among them a child—were wounded.
