Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 793,250: report

Around 793,250 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February 2022, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 9,677 tanks, 20,070 armoured fighting vehicles and 21,555 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,080 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,257 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)1,032 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 369 warplanes, 330 helicopters, 28 warships, and 21,249 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Friday is day 1,044 of Russias war on Ukraine.
