Poland's top diplomat Radosław Sikorski and his Australian counterpart Penny Wong talked about further assistance to Ukraine and bilateral relations between their two countries, Polish state news agency PAP reported.

The Polish foreign ministry said in a statement that the talks focused on "bilateral issues, Russian aggression against Ukraine, Australia’s support for this country, and the situation in the Indo-Pacific."

It added that the two ministers discussed "the most important topics on the bilateral agenda and the prospects for its expansion."

They also "covered security issues of mutual interest and noted a close link between the security environment in Europe and Asia."

Sikorski "expressed appreciation for Australia’s Ukraine support effort," the Polish foreign ministry said.

"As representatives of countries with similar assessments of global threats, including the interconnectedness of the security situation in Europe and the Asia-Pacific, the ministers pointed to the need to continue exchanging experiences and assessments in this area," the statement added.
