Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 86,150: report
Around 86,150 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in late February, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 2,899 tanks, 5,844 armoured personnel vehicles and 1,895 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.
On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces "eliminated" 430 Russian soldiers and destroyed five armoured personnel vehicles and six artillery systems, according to the ukrinform.net website.
Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 395 multiple launch rocket systems, 209 anti-aircraft warfare systems, 278 warplanes, 261 helicopters, 16 warships, and 1,553 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.
Ukrainian military officials have said that many of Russia’s newly drafted troops have already been killed on the battlefields of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky said last month that Russian generals were treating newly mobilised personnel as easily replaceable "cannon fodder" for their country's aggression against Ukraine.
Friday is day 275 of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
