Russian military death toll in Ukraine rises to 223,330: report

Around 223,330 Russian troops have been killed in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country in February last year, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 4,017 tanks, 7,798 armored combat vehicles and 3,985 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Friday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Thursday alone, Ukrainian forces killed 680 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 617 multiple launch rocket systems, 379 air defense systems, 314 warplanes, 307 helicopters, 18 warships, and 3,447 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, launching the largest military campaign in Europe since World War II.
