Russian casualty toll in Ukraine rises to 867,180: report

Around 867,180 Russian troops have been either killed or wounded in Ukraine since Vladimir Putin invaded the country three years ago, according to Ukrainian military authorities.

The Russians have also lost 10,168 tanks, 21,151 armoured fighting vehicles and 23,582 artillery systems during their military campaign in Ukraine, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Sunday, as cited by state news agency Ukrinform.

On Saturday, Ukrainian forces killed or wounded 1,180 Russian soldiers, according to the ukrinform.net website.

Other Russian losses in Ukraine include 1,296 multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS)1,081 air defence systems, 370 warplanes, 331 helicopters, 28 warships, and 26,428 unmanned aerial vehicles, ukrinform.net reported.

Russia invaded Ukraine by land, air and sea on February 24, 2022, starting the largest military conflict in Europe since World War II.

Sunday is day 1,095 of Russias war on Ukraine.
