More than 250 young swimmers trained under the eye of former Olympian Otylia Jędrzejczak, as part of her Otylia Swim Tour organized at the sports complex in Łódź, central Poland.
Otylia Jędrzejczak won the gold at the Athens Olympics in 2004 in the 200 metre butterfly. She won three medals at the 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens: as well as the gold, silver in the 400 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly. This equalled her in the number of medals earned during a single Olympic games with legendary Polish athlete Irena Szewińska.
Now she is the driving force of her own foundation that is also behind the Otylia Swim Tour, a series of swimming classes and workshops for young swimmers and parents held in various cities throughout Poland - this year, apart from Łódź, also in Rybnik, Katowice, Płock, Zduńska Wola and Sanok.
The Swim Tour is co-funded by the Ministry for Culture and Sport.
