"The borders between our friends from the Baltic Sea region should be reopened within a few days," Morawiecki said.
On Friday, the Lithuanian government announced that the country would open its borders for other Baltic countries, which have managed to control the coronavirus crisis, Polish Radio's IAR news agency reported.
"I am glad that next week, our strategic partner Poland will join the group of countries which have the pandemic under control,” Lithuanian Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis was quoted by the agency as saying.
However, Morawiecki added that opening Poland's borders with other European countries was still under discussion, including in the European Council.
In mid-March, Poland declared a "state of epidemic" and temporarily closed its borders to non-residents in a move to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
On Monday the government reopened the country’s skies for domestic flights, while international passenger flights remain suspended.
Polish air carrier LOT last month extended its suspension of international flights until June 14.
A total of 26,249 people have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease in Poland, with 1,155 deaths from the coronavirus so far, officials said on Sunday morning.
