The strategy, developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focuses on meeting the changing needs of Poles living abroad while tackling challenges related to demographics, the economy and migration policy.

It aims to promote return migration, improve collaboration with Polish communities overseas, and tap into the potential of Poles living abroad.

The plan emphasizes the importance of expats in contributing to the modernization of Poland’s economy, highlighting their intellectual and professional potential.

A key focus is supporting repatriation initiatives, including creating favorable conditions for career, education and research opportunities in Poland.

Additionally, the strategy plans to improve Polish language teaching, facilitate higher education and internships, and review the financial mechanisms supporting Polish diaspora policies.

Deputy Foreign Minister Hanna Mościcka-Dendys said in a social media post that the government is focusing on promoting the Polish language, developing policies to encourage the return of Polish citizens, and supporting international professional and academic mobility.
