Details of the joint trip to Washington on January 20 remain unclear, but the report cites diplomatic sources suggesting that German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot, and Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski may be joined by the EU’s top diplomat, Kaja Kallas.

European unity on display

The idea, proposed by three senior EU diplomats, is to showcase "European unity," notes Politico Europe.

While EU leaders are open to cooperation with the Trump administration, they remain cautious about potential actions, such as trade tariffs or controversial ideas like the annexation of Greenland, an autonomous Danish territory and NATO member.
