The owner of the Dino supermarket chain, Tomasz Biernacki, has amassed the most wealth, according to the popular ranking by the Wprost weekly.

Big money tends to avoid unnecessary publicity, which is why the richest Pole rarely appears in the media. The enigmatic billionaire Tomasz Biernacki, who owes his fortune to the record profits of his Dino supermarkets, prefers to stay out of the limelight.

Just behind him on the podium is Jerzy Starak, who owns the pharmaceutical company Polpharma. In third place in this prestigious group is Michał Sołowow, head of the chemical company Synthos, and producer of Barlinek flooring and Cersanit bathroom fixtures. In fourth place is game producer Paweł Marchewka, followed by the Kulczyk siblingsSebastian and Dominika – who inherited their fortune from their father, Jan Kulczyk, who passed away in 2015.

Also in the top ten richest Poles are Zbigniew Juroszek from the Atal Group, which specializes in construction and textile trade, and his son Mateusz – the youngest billionaire in Poland and president of the betting company STS.

In eighth place is Zygmunt Solorz, founder of Polsat Group. The list also includes Łukasz Nosek, co-founder of the electronic payment system PayPal. Rounding out the top ten is Rafał Brzoska, president of the InPost parcel locker network.
