The Crime Festival in Łódź, now in its eighth edition, continues to attract a growing number of crime fiction enthusiasts in Poland.

On Thursday, attendees enjoyed a word game called “Crime Scrabble” and met Łódź-based author Marcin Wnuk, whose latest book will be released in December 2024.

Friday’s events include a writing workshop with Agnieszka Płoszaj, known for her crime novels set in Łódź (a city in central Poland), and a suspenseful musical performance by Studio Melange titled Take the Knife from Her Hand.

The festival also features discussions with acclaimed authors like Wojciech Chmielarz and Daniel Komorowski, theatrical happenings, panel discussions on topics such as the role of crime fiction in city promotion, and interactive detective games.

All events are free, and the festival runs through Saturday, November 16, 2024.
