Olympic champion Justyna Święty-Ersetic set a national record of 51.04 seconds in the women’s 400 metres at the country's indoor track-and-field championships on Sunday.
Meanwhile, sprinter Ewa Swoboda a day earlier set a national record and world lead time of 6.99 seconds in the women’s 60 metres at the event in the north-central city of Toruń.

Some other Polish names to watch during this month’s world indoor championships include Anna Kiełbasińska in the women’s 400 metres, Konrad Bukowiecki and Michał Haratyk in the men's shot put, and Piotr Lisek in the men’s pole vault.
The 2022 World Athletics Indoor Championships are scheduled to be held in Belgrade, Serbia from March 18 to 20.
